A 24-track survey of American gothic punk and deathrock from 1978–1988.
Features Christian Death, T.S.O.L., The Cramps, The Gun Club, 45 Grave, and more.
Co-curated by Wesley Eisold and Del Jae, with Edward Colver photography and a large fold-out poster.
American Grave follows the darker paths of American punk, connecting familiar underground landmarks with less frequently heard artists. Its songs turn garage-rock rawness and hardcore energy toward eerie guitar textures, insistent rhythms, and theatrical vocals.
The third installment in Futurismo’s Altered Vision series treats deathrock as a distinct American musical culture. This Splintered Tomb edition pairs coke-bottle and black-marble vinyl with purple vinyl, housed in a gloss-laminated sleeve with printed inners, photographs, and contextual writing that extends the story beyond the tracklist.
