Gavin Rossdale’s alternative-rock project with Chris Traynor, Cache Tolman, and Josh Freese.
Produced by Helmet’s Page Hamilton, emphasizing the band’s heavy guitar attack.
Features “Bulletproof Skin,” “Come On Over,” and four bonus tracks.
Distort Yourself documents the band Gavin Rossdale formed during a break from Bush. The lineup brings his recognizable voice together with Chris Traynor’s guitar, Cache Tolman’s bass, and Josh Freese’s drumming, producing a muscular sound with a strong melodic center.
Page Hamilton’s production gives the performances a firm, guitar-led shape. The album moves from the pressure of “Bulletproof Skin” to broader, more atmospheric moments without losing its physical impact. This expanded edition returns the record to vinyl with four additional songs and a double 180-gram presentation in a gatefold sleeve.
